Found as a stray in Rockville, MD at 8 months old, Mochi came into rescue underweight but with a spirit that never dimmed. The rescue staff knew within the first hour she was something special — she had already claimed a toy, knocked it off a shelf, and was pretending she hadn't.
She took to lounge life instantly. Within a week she had a signature move: greeting every visitor at the door, weaving between their ankles until they sat down, then disappearing — only to reappear with someone else's toy in her mouth.
Mochi is best for an active household that enjoys a cat with opinions. She gets along well with other cats (though she will absolutely steal from them) and loves anyone willing to dangle a toy.
